With a storage unit, you don’t even have to worry about putting anything together. Just throw your stuff in it, and call it day. For traditional construction, you’re going to need a contractor to put it together for you. This is unsettling for many people because they are giving up control of the project and have to rely on someone else. And lets be honest, contractors don’t really have the reputation for finishing projects on time and to the clients specifications.
Carports come in a wide variety of styles for you to choose from. And they’re readily available online and most hardware stores. Storage units are pretty accessible, but you need to make sure that it is in a relatively good neighborhood. The last thing you want is to show up and all of your stuff is gone. The best thing about traditional construction is that you can have your storage building constructed to your exact specifications. The only thing is that you need to make sure that they can actually do the job.
So it really comes down to your specific needs. If you see yourself traveling a lot and don’t have a whole lot of space, a storage unit would probably work best for you. Really take the time to assess your needs before making a big commitment.
